Hello! I'm Jess Bugg.

 

I'm a writer, and artist based in Midcoast Maine.

My work tends to live at the intersection of environmental urgency and creativity. My 2024 book, You Had to Be There, published by Lantern Publishing & Media, examines climate grief through personal essays and academic analysis. My 2026 oracle deck & guidebook, The Earth Oracle, explores the wisdom of the earth, beyond metaphor, and seeks practical guidance from the natural world. My work has appeared in the Boston Globe and Austin Woman Magazine.

 

I also work as the Creative Director, and Co-Founder of Low Season, a sustainable lifestyle brand launching summer 2026.
